About the position

The Upland Unified School District is seeking candidates for the position of Elementary TK Teacher. This role is essential in providing quality education to preschool-age children within the district, which serves over 10,000 students across 14 public schools. Candidates must possess a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or a University Intern Credential, along with specific qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction to preschool-age children in a classroom setting.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the educational standards.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development.

Requirements

  • California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or University Intern Credential.
  • At least 24 units in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or both.
  • PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Credential (issued by CTC) is preferred.
  • Child Development Teacher Permit (issued by CTC) is preferred.
  • 1 year of professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool-age children.
  • English Learner Authorization (certificate or embedded in credential).
