About The Position

The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for dual language immersion elementary classroom teaching positions that may become available within our division for the 2025 - 2026 school year. The primary responsibility of the position is to develop and implement a bilingual instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student, with all classroom instruction conducted in Spanish.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher's License with appropriate endorsement to teach at the elementary school level.
• Demonstrate bilingual and bi-literate skills in Spanish.
• Pass an assessment to demonstrate bilingual and bi-literate capabilities.
• Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction.
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a dual language classroom or teaching in Spanish.
• Hold a master's degree in Education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a bilingual instructional program for students.
