The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program Manager at Alief ISD is responsible for managing the CTE programs within the district. This role involves overseeing various administrative, fiscal, and facilities functions related to CTE, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting the development and implementation of curriculum and programs that meet workforce needs and student interests. The position requires collaboration with teachers, administration, and external partners to enhance CTE offerings and facilitate professional development for staff.

  • Assist in the management of the Perkins grant and reporting of expenditures to ensure compliance standards for CTE.
  • Assist in the management of PEIMS reporting to ensure compliance standards for CTE.
  • Manage CTE programs development and projects for all assigned cluster areas and 100+ course offerings.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum to support course offerings and campuses.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of CTE program evaluations.
  • Work with campus teachers regarding instructional support and student concerns.
  • Oversee budget to ensure fair and consistent program implementation across the district.
  • Identify and facilitate internships, job shadowing, mentorships, and cooperative learning opportunities.
  • Assist in the CTE Advisory groups and act as the liaison between CTE and assigned groups.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive professional development plan for CTE program staff.
  • Consult with campus teachers regarding special populations and provide course recommendations.
  • Facilitate CTE program recruitment and marketing.
  • Collaborate with other departments in the development of public relations and marketing materials.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CTE Certification
  • Three (3) years' experience in teaching CTE course(s)
  • Experience working with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Ability to interface with administration and staff
  • Instructional confidence, creativity, and innovation
  • Excellent organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Salary Range Min. $79,163 Mid. $93,086 Max. $107,007
