Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Classroom or Special Education Teacher with implementing instruction and reinforcing learning skills in individual or small groups.
• Assist students with personal care, social skills, and self-awareness, including health and hygiene tasks such as feeding and toileting.
• Assist the teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, and maintaining student records.
• Monitor students during classroom activities, breaks, and transitions, reinforcing discipline procedures.
• Assist the Teacher and/or administration with special projects as needed.
• Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
• Participate in in-services, meetings, training, and school functions as required.
