About The Position

The Procurement/Supply Chain Management (P/SCM) Development Program (PSCMDP) Intern position at Chevron offers a unique opportunity for first-year MBA or Master's students to gain hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management. Interns will engage in various tasks and projects that enhance their understanding of Chevron's operations, culture, and the critical role of supply chains in delivering energy solutions. The program emphasizes skill development in areas such as market research, data analysis, and digital solutions, while providing exposure to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • First-year MBA or Master's student with an interest in Procurement/Supply Chain Management.
  • Geographically mobile with permanent US work authorization.
  • Prior internship or work experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and innovative thinking.
  • Exceptional communication abilities and teamwork skills.
  • Growth mindset with openness to learning and exploring various business areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in business intelligence and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with strategic sourcing and negotiations.
  • Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in project management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct various supply chain analyses, including internal and external market research studies.
  • Perform data and process analysis to support innovative digital solutions.
  • Assist in strategic sourcing, negotiations strategy, and execution.
  • Engage in business process improvement across logistics, contracting, and inventory management.
  • Evaluate and deploy digital solutions, including change management.
  • Benchmark performance and implement recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct market intelligence for existing and new products/services.
  • Manage projects across the end-to-end global supply chain.
