About The Position

The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for a Physics teacher position that is available at Blacksburg High School for SY 2024-2025. The primary responsibility of the Physics teacher is to develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher's license with appropriate endorsement to teach Physics at the high school level (Science - All endorsement or Physics endorsement).
• Experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans.
• Experience and expertise in using technology in education.
• Experience in fostering an inclusive learning environment.
• Familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration, and course work.
• Effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with parents and families of students.
• Ability to collaborate with a team of other teachers.
• Dependable and punctual.

Nice To Haves

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher's license with appropriate endorsement to teach Earth and Space Science at the high school level.
