About The Position

As a Land Intern at Chevron, you will gain valuable real-life work experience within an exploration or asset team, working on projects that have significant business impact. This internship provides an opportunity to understand the upstream oil and gas business, engage with various teams, and present your findings to senior management at the end of the assignment.

Requirements

• Contract interpretation/drafting/problem solving: Review and draft contracts to accomplish business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with external partners and landowners and draft various agreements related to oil and gas exploration and production.
• Perform title work on exploratory, development, workover, and plug and abandonment wells.
• Provide Land support to multidisciplinary teams to help customers make informed, strategic business decisions on agreements and land ownership issues.
• Interact with federal and state agencies on oil and gas regulatory issues.
• Manage surface land issues such as access, water, and fencing.
