About The Position

This posting is only for confirmed Poway Unified School District student teachers placed by their university in PUSD. Student teachers need to have a second set of fingerprint clearance for employment through the DOJ Clearing House and a 30-day Emergency Substitute Permit. Interested applicants must follow the steps outlined below, all required documents listed must be attached. You will need a Teaching Credential or a 30-day Emergency Permit to be a Substitute Teacher with Poway Unified School District.

Requirements

• Teaching Credential or a 30-day Emergency Permit.
• Completed fingerprint requirements.
• Confirmation as a student teacher placed by a university in PUSD.

Nice To Haves

• CBEST test results (not required but preferred).

Responsibilities

• Submit a resume.
• Provide three signed letters of recommendation dated within the past three years.
• Attach unofficial copies of your transcripts.
• Include CBEST test results if available.
• Provide TB Test Results/X-ray Results.
• Complete DOJ Clearing House Fingerprints for certificated employment.
