Requirements

  • Principal Certificate and/or Education Administrator License.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills in English; Spanish fluency preferred.
  • Clear FBI background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support on adopting research-proven, standards-based, student-centered instructional practices.
  • Oversee teachers in creating coherency in instructional practices and routines within the school that model a growth mindset.
  • Assist teachers in effectively gathering and using relevant student data to improve instruction.
  • Support the implementation of the Athlos behavior management philosophy that utilizes aspects of PBIS and restorative practices.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to establish a culture of excellence that values the individual and embraces the group.
  • Evaluate curricula, teaching methods, and programs to determine their effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.
  • Create school improvement plans using student performance data.
  • Coordinate state testing and accountability programs, managing all facets of achievement testing.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and staff regarding educational activities and student progress.
  • Model best instructional practices and strategies.
