We are seeking two dedicated and customer-focused Field Service Representatives (FSRs) to join our team at Global IT Resources in East Chicago, IN. This position is crucial for providing operations and maintenance support on water treatment systems for our customers who have long-term contracts. The job requires a commitment to safety and efficiency, as you will be responsible for ensuring that various water treatment technologies are functioning optimally. The technologies you may work with include media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF). The role is full-time, with a flexible schedule as the plant operates 24/7. While the position is primarily 40 hours per week, you will be on-call, although calls and issues are rare. It is essential that you reside within a 45-minute drive from the work site to ensure availability for emergency situations. Before starting, candidates must pass a Hair Follicle Drug Test and obtain an OSHA 10 certification. As a Field Service Technician, your responsibilities will include operating, monitoring, and optimizing equipment performance, conducting maintenance and calibration activities, and performing analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site-specific testing requirements. You will also monitor and maintain chemical injection systems, manage inventory of spare parts and chemicals, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues on various equipment, and create detailed technical summaries of work performed for customers. Additionally, you will consult with customer management and operation teams to ensure contract compliance regarding volume and quality specifications, along with other duties as assigned.
