About The Position

Early Childhood Teacher (2's Room) Christ Community Lutheran School (CCLS) Position Overview Christ Community Lutheran School is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Teacher for the 2's Room to join our mission of transforming lives through Christ-centered education. This position carries primary responsibility for the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical care and development of infants in a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment, in partnership with colleagues, families, and school leadership. The ideal candidate is a skilled, mission-aligned educator who is passionate about early childhood development, responsive caregiving, and building strong, trusting relationships with infants and families within a distinctly Lutheran environment.

Requirements

  • Valid teaching certification in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working with 2's and 3's in a licensed childcare or educational setting
  • Strong understanding of toddler and preschooler development, health, and safety practices
  • Clear alignment with the CCLS mission, code of conduct, and statement of faith
  • Membership in a faith-aligned Christian church required (LCMS Lutheran preferred)
  • Active worship and service in your home congregation expected
  • Rostered candidates will be issued a divine Call

Responsibilities

  • Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate, relationship-based learning and care experiences aligned with CCLS mission
  • Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment that supports healthy attachment, exploration, and growth
  • Providing responsive, individualized care including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supporting healthy sleep routines
  • Observing and documenting developmental progress and communicating clearly with families regarding milestones and daily experiences
  • Supporting infants’ physical, social, emotional, and early cognitive development through intentional interaction and play
  • Fostering a calm, predictable, and loving classroom culture that reflects God’s care and grace
  • Leading and participating in faculty collaboration, professional development, and school community life
  • Integrating faith formation into daily classroom life through prayer, gentle songs, and caring interactions that reflect God’s love
  • Collaborating effectively with classroom assistants, specialists, and early childhood colleagues
