About The Position

The Automation Maintenance Supervisor will lead the Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Reliability teams, working with multiple skill sets and talents. The Automation team is responsible for the design, build, installation, commissioning, and optimization of systems, including plant network systems. The Electrical team provides daily plant support and conducts testing of plant electrical systems, utilizing data to establish proactive additional testing, including large electrical main distribution systems redesign and replacement projects. The Reliability team employs multiple predictive technologies to enhance plant reliability, continuously improving and building job plans, preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, spare parts recommendations, and maintaining the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and asset criticality.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years' experience in equivalent industry and job.
  • Quick learner.
  • Ability to adapt.
  • Ability to problem solve.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's, Associate's, or AAS Degree in a related field.
  • Experience with PLC.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate supervisor responsibilities and oversee scale checks to ensure plant pay scales are within weight calibration specifications.
  • Manage preventative maintenance on scales, trolley readers, printers, and alarms to ensure they are operational and issues are identified before causing downtime.
  • Handle reactive maintenance on automated systems and instrumentation, including basic troubleshooting, changing parts, and follow-up to ensure problems are resolved.
  • Manage team members and maintenance personnel during reactive maintenance calls to enhance familiarity and troubleshooting techniques for different automated equipment.
  • Coordinate, assign, and oversee automation projects assigned by the Automation & Instrumentation Superintendent aimed at improving processes and advancing employee skill sets.
  • Ensure the startup of the facility's automated and robotic equipment.
  • Assign equipment-specific job assignments that will be rotated once the employee is reasonably familiar with that equipment.
