Mentor teachers needed to provide resources and ongoing support to new teachers and staff. Focus on effective teaching practice, classroom discipline and management, analyzing student data, and organizing for instruction. 50 hours of mentoring are required unless otherwise determined by the Assistant Superintendent. Mentors will meet frequently (formally and informally) during the school year to reflect on practice and plan curriculum and lessons. Substitutes provided for peer coaching and observations. Responsible for keeping a log of dates, times, and content covered in the required 50 hours. May be asked to attend up to three (3) one hour meetings outside of contracted hours.
