The Warehouse Operations Supervisor at ALDI is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that products are received, selected, and delivered efficiently to stores. This role involves managing staffing levels, developing team members, and maintaining relationships with partner companies to uphold operational standards. The supervisor will also ensure compliance with company policies and regulations while fostering a safe and productive work environment.

  • Assess and establish appropriate warehouse staffing levels.
  • Recruit, select, promote, manage, develop, and terminate associates and Operations supervisors.
  • Manage relationships with on-site partner companies and communicate operational change concerns.
  • Develop and implement action plans with direct reports to improve operating results.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to the team.
  • Model company strategy and communicate core values to create teamwork.
  • Ensure service provided by 3rd party partner companies meets acceptable standards.
  • Provide feedback and resolve issues with management of 3rd party partners.
  • Work cooperatively with peers and divisional departments to communicate relevant information.
  • Review and analyze the competitive landscape and keep leadership informed.
  • Coordinate recruitment and interviewing of applicants with direct reports.
  • Develop and recommend changes to improve policies and procedures.
  • Supervise warehouse personnel to ensure effective day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor inspections of inbound and outbound deliveries for compliance.
  • Oversee performance of direct reports in training, development, and retention.
  • Manage supervisors to influence operating results and promote a safe work environment.
  • Ensure equitable treatment of warehouse personnel.
  • Address complaints promptly across all warehouse departments.
  • Supervise effective use of warehouse facilities for maximum utilization.
  • Oversee achievement of warehouse controllable expenses and ensure results are within expectations.
  • Oversee shipping plans and facilitate order changes as needed.
  • Ensure direct reports monitor conditions and employee performance for safety.
  • Review adherence to inventory procedures and minimize losses.
  • Oversee compliance with established policies and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year experience in an ALDI management role required for internal candidates.
  • Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop rapport and open communication with direct reports.
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to stay organized.
  • Knowledge of products and services of the company.
  • Ability to evaluate work performance and motivate behavior change.
