About The Position

The Interpreter will facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak the same language by converting one spoken language to another. Interpreting services include but are not limited to Employment, Training & Orientation, Meetings, Human Resources, Health Services and other operational activities as assigned. This position is held to a strict code of confidentiality. The interpreter must be willing to work in all environments of the facility.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Ability to obtain a minimum of Level 3 Language Certification.
• One year of interpreter experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills in dominant language and English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational, decision making, and follow-up skills.
• Basic computer and typing skills preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Current Team Members certified under Tyson interpreter program.
• Other language certification acquired through an academic organization.
