Requirements

• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to complete work cycles in less than 20 seconds.
• Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
• Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.
• Must be able to perform tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
• Must be able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours.
• Must be able to work in a wet environment.
• Must have at least 3 months of work experience with a single employer within the last 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to maintain sharp tools to perform job tasks correctly.
• Make precision cuts to carcass to achieve desired carcass yield.
• Make precision cuts to carcass to remove hide to achieve desired carcass yield.
• Operate a powered tool to perform job tasks.
• Set up area with all needed equipment.
• Monitor production area for trash and food debris on the floor.
• Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
