About The Position

The 1st Shift Production Technician/Blending role at Blueroot Health™ involves managing the set-up and operation of various production equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The technician will be responsible for performing tasks related to weighing, blending, encapsulation, and packaging, while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate about work instructions and safety information in English.
• Team player with problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with other employees/departments.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Punctual and reliable work attendance.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Self-motivated with sound judgment in decision making.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate weighing equipment, blenders, encapsulation equipment, and capsule dedusting equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with housekeeping safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Adhere to cGMP guidelines regarding hygiene and cleanliness and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform all weighing, blending, encapsulation, capsule dedusting, and packaging functions.
• Conduct all cleaning operations associated with production equipment and packaging areas.
• Follow and complete production duties as described in the batch production record.
• Record all required information on the batch production record and appropriate logs.
• Accurately perform all calculations as required by the batch production record and the Production Supervisor.
• Provide coverage in other departments when needed.
• Work diligently to reach set goals/metrics for the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
