About The Position

The Process Technician is responsible for ensuring quality of manufactured product by providing sound processes, software and equipment controls to manufacturing floor. Ensuring these fit within the framework of the quality system. The Process Technician is the first point of contact for technical support on the production floor.

Requirements

• Ability to learn KEJ systems and controls by reviewing existing applicable processes, SOPs, quality systems, and work instructions.
• Complete on-the-job training forms including Valor introduction, PAIs, ECO/Deviation process, Continual Improvements.
• Complete training on MP2 system used for scheduling of computerized systems backup.
• Operational training for depanel, DEK Screen printer, Wave & Select Solder, and Smart Screwdriver Stations.
• Complete Yellow belt training and thermal profile training.
• Complete operational training for all SMT lines and conformal coating machine.
• Ability to setup probes and perform thermal profiling without assistance.

• Programming training on area/line/equipment of responsibility.
• Ability to create a new program for Smart Screwdriver Stations.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining first point of contact for engineering support to production lines.
• Providing technical leadership to the production floor.
• Continuously refine, improve as well as provide supporting data to the production process and methods to continuously reduce product cost, improve ergonomics, and improve quality.
• Incorporate new manufacturing process requirements into the appropriate design guidelines.
• Support KEJ Customer Engineers to evaluate the requirements for assembly tooling, fixtures, and equipment required to support product schedule and cost goals.
• Provide guidance and leadership on equipment issues in parallel with Technical Maintenance.
• Ensure the quality of the product that is manufactured and customer requirements are being met.
