About The Position

The Machine Operator - Automatic Press is responsible for operating a metal stamping press, transfer system and feedline to produce a stamped part that meets the customers' expectations ensuring quality and efficiency in production. This role requires mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Knowledge of mechanical processes
• Strong math aptitude
• Mechanical aptitude
• Use of gages, micrometers, and calipers
• Understands Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Basic computer skills
• Safety Minded

• Transfer dies or systems
• Tow Motor License

Responsibilities

• Operates crane to get raw material and loads coils of steel on the coil cradle
• Performs coil load and coil changes during production runs
• Operates straightener and feedline to present the material to the transfer die
• Operates transfer system and Metal Stamping press
• Performs all visual and manual quality inspections
• Operates the MRP system on logging production and downtime
• Ensures finished full bins have the appropriate labels
• Follows all housekeeping and 5S processes
• Perform other customer-driven or product-driven duties as assigned by the Supervisor
