About The Position

The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for loading and unloading trailers, moving merchandise throughout the Distribution Center, and utilizing conveyors or forklift equipment. The role involves checking, verifying, and auditing merchandise to ensure accuracy and condition, as well as operating equipment to facilitate the movement and storage of goods. The position requires adaptability to various duties based on departmental needs and includes general housekeeping responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt to job duty and department changes.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload merchandise.
• Check, verify and audit merchandise and enter data into remote data terminals.
• Identify, separate, label and palletize merchandise for relocation.
• Operate forklift type equipment to move and store merchandise.
• Replenish pick areas and report requests for needed merchandise.
• Fill merchandise orders by selecting and moving items to conveyors or pallets.
• Load merchandise onto trailers and scan non-conveyable items.
• Ensure shipment accuracy and that merchandise is undamaged.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Adapt to varied duties based on department assignment.
