About The Position

The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for loading and unloading trailers, moving merchandise throughout the Distribution Center, and utilizing conveyors or forklift equipment. The role involves ensuring that merchandise is accurately checked, verified, and audited, and that it is not damaged. The associate will also be tasked with identifying, separating, labeling, and palletizing merchandise for relocation within the distribution center. Operating forklift equipment to move and store merchandise is a key function, along with replenishing pick areas and filling merchandise orders. General housekeeping duties and varied responsibilities based on department assignments are also part of the job.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt to job duty and department changes.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload merchandise.
• Check, verify and audit merchandise and enter data into remote data terminals.
• Identify, separate, label and palletize merchandise for relocation.
• Operate forklift type equipment to move and store merchandise.
• Replenish pick areas and report requests for needed merchandise.
• Fill merchandise orders by selecting and moving merchandise.
• Load merchandise onto trailers and scan non-conveyable merchandise.
• Ensure shipment accuracy and that merchandise is not damaged.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Adapt to varied duties depending on department assignment.
