About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I at Famous Footwear is responsible for maintaining machinery and ensuring safety and productivity within the workplace. This role emphasizes collaboration and requires the technician to diagnose issues and implement improvements to meet safety and productivity goals. The position is based in Lebanon, TN, and operates on a Wednesday to Saturday schedule from 5 AM to 3:30 PM.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of previous facilities maintenance or maintenance technician experience preferred.
• Mechanical and general building maintenance skills required.
• Basic working knowledge and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Department Safety by following all safety guidelines, including Lock-out Tag-out, Fall protection, and OSHA compliance.
• Detect safety hazards and plan/organize safe solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and obtain powered industrial vehicle (PIV) licenses to operate all PIV equipment associated with the warehouse within 90 days of employment.
• Perform repairs and ground maintenance to ensure all equipment and building areas are clean and fully operable.
• Develop partnerships with vendors and DC leaders while maintaining a customer service mindset.
