Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform various aspects of the classification.
• Work with close supervision and direction on new or unique job assignments.
• Issue labeled containers to operations for the collection of process waste.
• Move waste from point(s) of generation to the waste storage area.
• Ensure containers meet all state & federal requirements (USEPA, DOT).
• Ensure facility is maintained in a compliant manner, including aisle space, housekeeping, markings/signage, etc.
• Inspect the 5 waste storage areas in Rockford (including hazardous waste, used oil, universal waste and non-hazardous State/Federal-regulated waste).
• Maintain and operate aerosol can puncturing.
• Conduct daily hazardous waste tank inspection.
• Load waste onto trucks for transport to offsite Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs).
