Loads and unloads trailers, moves merchandise from area to area and uses conveyors or forklift equipment throughout Distribution Center. Essential job functions include loading and unloading merchandise, checking, verifying and auditing merchandise, and entering data into remote data terminals to ensure that ordered merchandise is accurate and not damaged. The role involves identifying, separating, labeling, and palletizing merchandise to be relocated to the appropriate area of the distribution center. Additionally, the position requires operating forklift type equipment to move and store merchandise, replenishing pick areas identified by replenishment screens, and reporting various requests for needed merchandise. The employee will fill merchandise orders by selecting and moving merchandise from active locations to conveyors, and/or slots to boxes to fill orders. Loading merchandise onto trailers involves moving merchandise from conveyor to trailer or from pallet to trailer, scanning non-conveyable or non-diverted merchandise prior to loading on trailers, and checking merchandise to ensure that shipments are accurate and that merchandise is not damaged and is loaded onto the proper trailer. General housekeeping duties are also part of the job, and varied duties will depend on department assignment, which may change depending on Distribution Center needs.
