About The Position
Simon & Schuster is currently seeking a 1st Shift Induction to join our Distribution Center in Riverside, NJ. This position will assist with throwing cartons on the induction line among other duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma preferred
- Able to lift 75 lbs. continuously including over head
- Able to stand on feet for entire shift
- Able to use RF scanner
- Able to use pallet jack
- Able to work independently
Responsibilities
- Throw cartons on the induction line to meet the days requirements
- Accurate placement of labels on the cartons to correspond with the designated work number
- Move pallets to the induction rollers using a reach truck
- Use of pallet jack
- Complete work assignments accurately and timely
- Other duties as assigned
- Ensure the work area is clean at the end of the shift
- Flexible to picking replenishment regarding ASAP orders
- Able to follow all safety policies and procedures
- Able to effectively communicate when needed
- Overtime as needed (both voluntary and mandatory)
