About The Position

This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing heavy equipment on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of equipment repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with metal and copper fabrication equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and complete preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Create and maintain preventive maintenance procedures and logs.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Familiarity with both manual and CNC machine tool installations.
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, diagnose equipment problems and recommend repairs.
  • Work closely with Materials and Plant Managers.
  • Establish a relationship with vendors and work with them in repairing the equipment.
  • Read and understand parts and service manuals to recommend repairs of equipment.
  • Work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Complete all related paperwork, including maintaining equipment logs.
  • Perform other duties which may be required by supervisor.
