About The Position

The position at OmniSource involves operating various types of material handling equipment, including Dump Trucks, Wheel Loaders, Skid Steer Loaders, and Forklifts, in a safe and productive manner. Responsibilities include loading containers, sorting scrap, sampling material, and performing other duties as requested by the Lead or Supervisor. The role also requires inspecting equipment prior to operation, fueling, and lubricating it daily. Additionally, the employee will assist the Lead and Supervisor with identifying and tracking all inventory upgrades and changes in classification to support perpetual inventory goals. There is an opportunity to cross-train on various equipment types, and the employee may be asked to perform all other duties as requested by the Lead and Supervisor.

• Knowledge of scrap is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple types of material handling equipment i.e. Dump Truck, Wheel Loader, Skid Steer Loader and Forklift, in a safe and productive manner.
• Load Containers, sort scrap, sample material, any others duties as requested by Lead or supervisor.
• Inspect Equipment prior to operation, fuel, lubricate daily.
• Assist Lead and Supervisor with identification and tracking of all inventory upgrades and changes in classification to assist with perpetual inventory goals.
• Ability to cross train on various equipment types.
• All other duties as requested by Lead and Supervisor.
