This position is responsible for completion of baking, blasting & washing process of engine blocks, heads, and various components by way of the established remanufacturing process. Requirements

• Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools.
• Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 45 pounds.
• Must maintain a clean work area.
• Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures.
• Cross train on other jobs as required.
• Must be Magnaflux Certified.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment.
• Previous mechanical experience.
• High School Diploma / GED preferred and further college education a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures.
• Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput.
• Install and assemble components for heavy-duty trucks.
• Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy.
• Operate tools and equipment such as jigs and fixtures, pneumatic and DC tools for fasteners and assembly of heavy-duty trucks.
• Clean and blast engine components.
• Operate hoist, air tools, dip tank, hand cart, blasters, shakers, mag units.
• Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers.
• Adhere to established work rotation plan.
• Complete training matrix for each rotation position.
• Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions.
• Other tasks and/or duties as requested.
