About The Position

Primarily responsible for cleaning, maintaining, repairing and prepping cages for live haul trailers.

Requirements

• Relative maintenance experience (e.g. cutting, grinding, welding, etc.).
• Basic math functions and skills.
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
• Ability to operate yard equipment (e.g. forklift, yard truck, tractor, etc.)
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cage maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize live haul trailers and cages.
• Perform all necessary paperwork associated with assigned job (i.e. work orders, charge parts, etc.).
• Inspect and repair cages, adhering to DOT and animal welfare guidelines and regulations.
• Drive various heavy duty equipment pieces safely.
• General housekeeping duties, maintaining neat, clean and orderly work area.
• All other duties as assigned.
