About The Position

The Boiler Room & Refrigeration Supervisor at JBS USA is responsible for leading the hourly maintenance team and overseeing overall plant maintenance operations. This includes scheduling, planning, prioritizing work, purchasing, and employee supervision, as well as training and development of team members. The role emphasizes adherence to safety and food safety policies, ensuring efficient service to the production department, and minimizing downtime due to mechanical failures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in general industrial maintenance.
• General knowledge of machinery relevant to the industry.
• Background knowledge in hydraulics, welding, and some PLC training.
• Fluent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; bilingual preferred.
• Ability to prioritize activities and provide leadership to engage employees.
• Strong computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures adherence to company safety policies and procedures in all areas of the plant.
• Ensures compliance with food safety, HAACP, and government programs.
• Directs employees in performing approved maintenance work.
• Advises superiors of equipment failures or maintenance needs.
• Ensures production receives prompt and quality maintenance service.
• Reports and distributes maintenance man hours accurately.
• Reduces production downtime due to mechanical failures or maintenance issues.
• Executes all maintenance and assigned work in the plant area.
• Directs the activities of assigned mechanics.
• Accountable for the efficiency and effectiveness of labor and resources under supervision.
• Works with machine-specific vendors and contractors for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
