About The Position

California Faucets is looking to bring on a talented 1st Shift Assembler. This role is based on site in our Huntington Beach, CA warehouse. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 5:15 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The Assembly Production Team Member is a critical role within the company and has a direct impact on the quality and quantity of products that California Faucets provides to its customers. The primary purpose of this position is to fulfill customer orders by testing, assembling components, and packaging them into completed plumbing faucets and fixtures. Requirements

  • Adaptability/flexibility when encountering problems. Must be able to communicate discrepancies to team leader and be able to solve problems and implement solutions.
  • Ability to follow instructions and comply with all safety regulations including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and persistence.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • The minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Someone entering this position should have at least six (6) months experience performing similar work in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling plumbing systems and fixtures (spouts, valves, showerheads, etc.).
  • Inspection of finished components during assembly to conform to quality standards.
  • Following instructions and locating parts on Pick Tickets.
  • Notifying team leader of quality variances and parts shortages.
  • Operating hand tools.
  • Efficiently acquiring parts and ensuring the correct number and type of part is obtained for assembly or final packaging.
  • Reading and counting accurately, performing simple math, and writing legibly.
  • Ensuring rework and repair orders are maintained in an organized manner, and up to date.
  • Maintaining close communication with the Finishing team to ensure rework components are returned to the Assembly departments in a timely manner.
  • Performing additional assignments per management direction.
  • Use of manual, electric, and air powered hand tools.
  • Application of adhesives and lubricants
  • Monitoring the shelf life and expiration dates.
