About The Position

The First Grade Classroom Teacher is responsible for delivering a developmentally appropriate, standards-based educational program that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students. The teacher will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and promotes student success.

• State of NH Certification is required as outlined by the New Hampshire Department of Education

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of all students
• Designing and implementing lesson plans aligned with the Windham School District curriculum standards
• Providing high-quality, differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
• Regularly assess and analyze student performance data to inform instructional practices and improve student outcomes
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, specialists, and other members of the school community to support student learning and school-wide initiatives
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with parents and guardians to support student progress and promote open, ongoing communication
