About The Position
We are seeking a skilled 1st Class Flux Core Welder to join our team in Houma, LA. This position involves performing high-quality FCAW (flux core) welds in an industrial or marine environment. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-focused, and able to meet production and quality standards with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in flux core (FCAW) welding
- Ability to pass weld test (structural or pipe, as required)
- Experience welding carbon steel and/or stainless
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Strong knowledge of welding safety practices
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Are able to work Night Shift?
Nice To Haves
- Experience in shipyard or offshore environments
- Certifications (AWS, NCCER, or equivalent)
- Multi-process experience (stick, MIG, TIG is a plus)
- Experience working in confined spaces or at heights
- TWIC card or ability to obtain
