About The Position
Obour Foods, a small producer of gourmet hummus, tahini, and pita chips based in San Francisco, is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing individual to join our team as a Weekend Hummus Salesperson at the Belmont Farmers Market. This position is perfect for someone who loves good food and enjoys engaging with the community. The role involves selling our delicious hummus and tahini products while providing excellent customer service to market-goers. The Belmont Farmers Market takes place every Sunday from 8:15 AM to 1:30 PM, and the salesperson will be responsible for setting up and breaking down the market stall, unloading and loading the delivery van, and educating customers about our unique products. This is a part-time position that offers a competitive hourly wage of $19, along with a generous trade policy that allows employees to enjoy our products. As a member of our team, you will be the face of Obour Foods at the market, sharing your passion for our products and helping to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers. We pride ourselves on our high-quality offerings and are looking for someone who can convey that enthusiasm to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be dependable and punctual, and possess the ability to engage with strangers in a friendly manner for extended periods. While experience in selling at farmers' markets is a plus, it is not a requirement, as we are willing to train the right person who has the necessary soft skills and a love for food and community.
