About the position
This position involves driving a dry van and handling freight that includes drop and hook as well as live unload duties. The job requires regular travel to various cities including Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, Syracuse, Harrisburg, Richmond, Greer, Nashville, Atlanta, Mobile, Ocala, and New Orleans, with outbound routes from Michigan and subsequent routes returning to Michigan. Home time is scheduled every two weeks, with weekends at home and a 34-hour restart period.
Responsibilities
- Drive a dry van and manage freight operations.
- Perform drop and hook duties as well as live unload tasks.
- Travel regularly to designated cities as per the route schedule.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and maintain communication with dispatch.
Requirements
- No prior experience necessary.
Benefits
- Weekly earnings ranging from $1,200 to $1,500.
- Performance bonus between $1,500 and $2,100.
- CPM starting at $0.55 per mile, increasing with experience up to $0.65 per mile.
- Additional pay of $25 per stop and $15 per live unload.
- Home time every two weeks with weekends at home.
