About the position
The Construction Materials Testing Field Technician Trainee position is an entry-level role that does not require prior experience, although candidates with basic construction skills and outdoor work experience are preferred. The role involves hands-on work in materials testing and geotechnical analysis at commercial construction sites. Technicians will perform important tests on materials such as concrete, soils, rebar, and mortar. The position offers on-the-job training, company-paid certifications, and the opportunity to work on exciting construction projects across the Southeast.
Responsibilities
- Perform tests on construction materials including concrete, soils, rebar, and mortar.
- Document testing processes and results accurately.
- Work outdoors at various construction sites.
- Participate in on-the-job training and learn about materials testing and geotechnical analysis.
- Travel to different job sites as required.
Requirements
- No prior experience required, but basic construction skills preferred.
- Good driving record.
- Clean criminal record.
- Ability to pass a physical and drug screen.
