About The Position

The job of Custodian is done for the purpose/s of maintaining an attractive, sanitary, and safe facility for students, staff, and public; providing equipment and furniture arrangements for meetings, classroom activities and events; overall responsibility for daily functioning of the physical plant; and minimizing property damage, loss, and liability exposure.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Job related experience is desired.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.
• WA State Misconduct Clearance.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Arranges furnishings and equipment for adequate preparations for meetings, classroom activities and special events.
• Cleans assigned facilities for maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
• Inspects facilities to ensure that the site is suitable for safe operations and maintained in an attractive and clean condition.
• Maintains and orders supplies and equipment to ensure the availability of items required to properly maintain facilities.
• Performs preventative maintenance and/or repairs/replacements to ensure availability and safety of facility.
• Prepares facility for daily operations to ensure facilities are operational and safe for occupancy.
• Prepares various reports to provide information required to maintain the facility.
• Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns to resolve immediate safety issues.
• Secures facilities and grounds to minimize property damage, equipment loss and potential liability.

• Rate of pay: $24.43 - 25.51
