Sigma Defense is seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Developer/Development Lead to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Developer will create, document, advise, and assist in building and maintaining multiple Azure cloud environments for the DoD. The candidate will be the technical lead of a team of professionals across multiple disciplines working together to build the new environments. The developer will have DevSecOps Engineers, Software Engineers, and Cybersecurity Engineers to assist with building. We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical vision and capable of relaying that vision to the team. Will work closely with the Scrum Master to develop tasks for the team and help to ensure they are able to complete them. Will serve as the central technical lead working with vendors and subcontractors to implement new capabilities.

  • Design, develop, and improve the automation pipeline and integrated deployment processes to build Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Perform technical support to the team and assist in developing security protocols.
  • Utilize DevOps tools to ensure the code compiles and passes any tests.
  • Assist the team with upgrades and patches of virtual environments.
  • Develop and execute regression test scripts to verify system functionality.
  • Coordinate activity across the team of infrastructure developers.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills required to plan, direct, and execute the tasks required for the team.
  • DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
  • Experience developing and maintaining large-scale cloud initiatives in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Management experience working with hybrid teams.
  • Experience with PI (Program Increment) Planning is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AF IC security requirements is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Programming, Cybersecurity, or related field of study, or equivalent experience.
