RMN 12V Electrician

POSITION SUMMARY The 12v Electrician will route wires for the fire apparatus equipment as directed by wire diagrams and other technical drawings. They will be required to install 12v accessories such as sensers and lights. The 12v Electrician will also be expected to fabricate boxes, mounts, and other equipment required to complete the electrical installation according to the blueprint.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED.
- Strong mechanical and technical ability required.
- Low voltage electrical experience required.
- Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
- Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
- Able to follow written and verbal directions.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
- Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
- Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
- Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.

- Manufacturing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Routes 12v electrical wires to equipment and follows a wire diagram.
- Connects lights, hose reals and other accessories to electrical box.
- Fabricates boxes, mounts, and other equipment required to complete the electrical installation according to the blueprint.
- Communicates with fabricators to have a complete installation.
- Fabricates wire harnesses to complete installation as needed.
- Utilizes basic hand tools as needed to complete objectives.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.
