The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely driving students, faculty, and staff around the Loyola University Maryland campus and other routes as required for the business of the University. The driver will ensure a safe, welcoming, and comfortable atmosphere by providing superior customer service. This includes having a friendly disposition, greeting riders, maintaining a comfortable bus temperature, providing a smooth ride, keeping the bus clean, and properly using the shuttle tracking system. The driver must adhere to scheduled routes, provide additional help during rush hours, fuel and clean the bus, operate vehicles with wheelchair lifts as needed, and drive charters within trip requirements. Additionally, the driver is responsible for completing all paperwork clearly and on time, being a courteous team member, performing all Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) requirements, conducting daily vehicle safety checks, and attending monthly drivers meetings. The position may also require participation in required training for the role.
