The Powder Coating Production Quality Technician is responsible for providing high-quality service, supporting production, and ensuring maintenance operations run smoothly and safely.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Effective communication skills in English (read, write, and speak).
1+ year of manufacturing experience
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a lab setting.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work schedule
Exposure to dust, dry chemicals, and noise
Required to wear personal protective equipment

Nice To Haves

Chemistry degree is preferred or equivalent

Responsibilities

Run various QC tests and procedures such as spraying panels and checking gloss and colour
Conduct root cause analysis and make recommendations for products requiring corrections
Conduct in process quality control of production runs using required equipment and test procedures
Care for and handle gauges and test equipment
Confirm quality of finished products for final release
Stop authority when nonconformance is detected and reported to Shift Supervisor. (In case of disagreement between the QC Leader and Shift Supervisor for release of a product, the Factor Manager along with the QA or Lab Manager will make final decision)
Evaluate production samples and make necessary corrections
Collaborate with Supervisors and co-workers to optimize production efficiencies
Barcoding management/ SAP weighing support
Enter all required quality results in SAP
Print successive mix sheets
Print all necessary labels
Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Perform general cleaning and housekeeping in the lab area.
Follow all application safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
