About The Position

The Janitor position at International Support Group (ISG) involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in customer facilities during night shifts on weekends. The role requires a responsible individual with prior janitorial experience to ensure that all areas are clean, safe, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as custodian, janitor, or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components.
• Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices.
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
• Very good physical condition and strength.
• High school diploma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans hard floor using appropriate methods such as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
• Moves chairs, trash receptacles, or other easily moveable items to maintain floors underneath these items.
• Wet mops non-carpeted floors including entrances, vestibules, lobbies, stairways, landings, and risers.
• Ensures that underneath easily moveable items are mopped.
• Vacuums and cleans interior floor mats, area, and throw rugs.
• Ensures that floor mats are free of all visible lint, litter, debris, soil, and other foreign matter.
• Cleans and polishes all elevator interior walls, guardrails, push plates, elevator buttons, and other fixtures.
• Cleans all interior and exterior entry glass and mirrors and adjacent trims.
• Cleans and polishes all decorative metal surfaces, including kick plates, railings, and push plates.
• Removes any spillage and marks on adjacent surfaces resulting from applying cleaning agents.
• Cleans and disinfects all surfaces of sinks, toilets, urinals, lavatories, showers, and other plumbing fixtures.
• Ensures that restrooms are stocked sufficiently with provided supplies including toilet tissue, paper towels, and hand soap.
• Collects and disposes of trash from all waste receptacles.
• Removes any trash boxes or debris stacked near the waste receptacles.
• Replaces plastic trash bags and can liners at each service occurrence.
• Completes non-routine cleaning according to the schedule provided by the Manager.
• Handles emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
