About The Position
Sedgwick is seeking a 1099 Insurance Premium Auditor to join our team in California. With over 50 years of experience in risk and productivity management, we pride ourselves on delivering accurate and timely premium audit results. Our auditors play a crucial role in ensuring that policyholders' insurance premiums align with their actual exposures. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing auditors to either visit commercial businesses or conduct audits virtually. Auditors will engage in various types of audits, including physical, virtual, telephone, and voluntary audits, depending on the complexity and requirements of the accounts. The role requires a solid understanding of the California Worker's Compensation classification system and the ability to navigate the intricacies of insurance premium audits across multiple lines of coverage, including Worker's Compensation, General Liability, Auto, and Garage. Auditors will be responsible for reviewing financial and payroll data, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards in their work. The position is contract-based, with compensation ranging from $38 to $50 per billable hour, depending on the nature of the audit and the contractor's experience. Contractors are expected to manage their schedules flexibly, accommodating client needs and potential in-person audits as required. Additionally, those with extensive experience may have the opportunity to transition into quality reviewer roles, further enhancing their career within Sedgwick. This position is ideal for self-starters who can work independently and possess strong analytical and communication skills.
