The Sr. Engineering Systems Administrator will be responsible for administering and maintaining the Active Directory (AD) infrastructure, which includes domain controllers, replication, group policies, organizational units (OUs), and user/group management. The role involves creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts, groups, shared drives, and organizational units in Active Directory, as well as managing permissions, access rights, and security group memberships. The administrator will design, implement, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for user and computer configurations across the organization. Additionally, the role includes managing Azure AD configuration, security policies, SSO, application integration, account synchronization, and MFA. The administrator will also manage multiple O365 tenants, including migrations, account policies, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Teams, MPIP, and mobile device management. Security protocols for user authentication, access control, and password policies will be implemented and enforced, with regular audits of AD permissions to ensure compliance with internal security standards. Regular health checks on Active Directory will be performed to identify and resolve any performance or security issues, ensuring high availability and proper replication between domain controllers. The role also involves developing and maintaining Active Directory backup and disaster recovery plans, providing timely resolution for Active Directory-related incidents, and documenting AD processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. The administrator will plan and execute Active Directory migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime, support and adhere to change management processes, and perform scripting of administration tasks and reporting using PowerShell.
