As a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of machinery and equipment. This position is specifically for the 3rd shift, which runs from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday. Your primary responsibilities will include executing preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary repairs to minimize downtime and support the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process. You will be expected to conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery, identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate to ensure equipment reliability and longevity. In addition to routine maintenance, you will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions across various systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic. Implementing corrective actions to resolve issues promptly and effectively will be a key part of your role. You will also collaborate with other departments to identify and address the root causes of recurring problems, ensuring that repairs and replacements of faulty components are performed in adherence to safety and quality standards. Documentation is another critical aspect of this position. You will maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules. Your input will be valuable for equipment manuals and standard operating procedures. Safety compliance is paramount; you will need to adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks, identifying and addressing potential safety hazards promptly. Continuous improvement is encouraged, and you will have the opportunity to propose and implement enhancements to equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency. Collaboration with production and engineering teams will ensure seamless coordination between maintenance activities and production schedules, requiring effective communication with colleagues and superiors to report issues and seek assistance when needed.
