  • Ensures best practices for IT service management (ITSM) and incident response frameworks.
  • Participates in IT risk assessments and compliance reviews.
  • Mentors and develops Solution Architects, engineers, and technical teams.
  • Provides leadership in technical upskilling, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Develops and enforces enterprise architecture governance frameworks.
  • Fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in IT design.
  • Engages with executive leadership, IT Directors, and department heads to align IT strategy.
  • Acts as a key advisor on IT investments, system modernization, and digital initiatives.
  • Communicates architecture decisions and technical roadmaps to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Establishes partnerships with external vendors, industry leaders, and peer organizations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or job-related field of study.
  • Six (6) years of IT experience, with 2 years in a solution architecture or technical leadership role.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, or Google Cloud Architect.
  • TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certifications.
  • ITIL Intermediate or Advanced Certification.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Will be required to provide a copy of 10-year driving history.
  • Must maintain a good driving record and remain in compliance with Article II, Subdivision II of Chapter 90 of the Dallas County Code.
  • Individuals must pass a national fingerprint-based records check prior to placement in such position.
