About The Position

UI Healthcare North Liberty department of Guest Services is seeking a 100% Patient Escort-Valet Parking. This position will be Full-time. In accordance with Service Excellence and departmental guidelines, the primary duties of this position include: Safely drive valet parked vehicles, perform valet parking duties as assigned, greet patients and guests upon arrival to the hospital, transport and assist ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients and guests to and from clinics, inpatient units and procedure areas via wheelchair, patient bed, patient stretcher, or walking them to their destination. Deliver wheelchairs to assigned areas, problem solve when service recovery is needed, assist patients and guests with questions and wayfinding needs. On occasion, drive a motorized transportation cart, safely perform guest services dispatch duties, deliver moveable medical equipment throughout the hospital, clean and store equipment, drive late evening shuttle, and perform other duties as assigned. Must comply with UI Fleet Safety Driving Record Review Standards. Additional Info: This position has a blood-borne pathogen exposure risk. Must be able to regularly move heavy weight of 100 lbs, and occasionally in excess of 250 lbs via wheelchair or bed. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and move for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in inclement weather. Must be able to move for long periods of time.

Requirements
