About The Position
The position involves performing preventive maintenance on finishing equipment, troubleshooting and repairing equipment that is down, and making various mechanical repairs. The role may also require work on the building, grounds, or at other locations within the plant. Employees must perform lockout procedures as required for service and complete work orders with minimal supervision as assigned by the Lead or Supervisor. It is essential to ensure accurate work orders are submitted for all completed work and to communicate any issues or concerns with the Lead or Supervisor. Maintaining a clean and neat working area is crucial, and safety must always be prioritized. Employees must report any unsafe acts or conditions immediately to their supervisor and be willing to work overtime as needed to ensure the maintenance and uptime of the finishing lines. The role supports continuous improvement efforts by the American Woodmark team members.
