About The Position

Hirschbach Motor Lines is seeking Tractor Technicians at our Dover, FL shop! In this role, you will complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on one of the newest and fully featured fleets. Requirements

  • 1-2 years in fleet maintenance, or a Technical School Degree preferred.
  • Certifications such as 609, Diamler, Cummins, and Navistar preferred.
  • Experience with DTNA, Cummins Insite, Bendix, etc.
  • Previous experience with repair, maintenance, and diagnosis of Class 8 equipment, which is not limited to general driver repair requests, warranty repair, on-board vehicle electronics, etc.
  • CDL A or B (preferred not required)
  • Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve tractor related issues on Hirschbach's fleet of Freightliner, Kenworth, and Internationals.
  • Complete jobs such as: PMs, electrical diagnosis, air brakes, suspension and steering, after treatment repairs, charging system repairs, AC repairs, etc.
  • Properly categorize repairs according to company standards: Preventative Maintenance, Components failures, Abuse, Accident, and Operations.
  • Accurately and efficiently record parts and supplies used in performing repairs, which may include scanning bar codes of parts, and recording consumable supplies.
  • Accurately and efficiently record repair stories to properly document complaints, causes and corrections of component failures, and enable the company to recover warrantable expenses.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist other Technicians as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
