Phoenix Tailings is a rapidly-growing clean mining and metals production startup dedicated to sustainable and economic critical metals production. Our mission is to be the world's first fully clean mining and metals production company, producing the resources needed for the next generation of our economy. We are seeking passionate and driven researchers to join our Leadership Development Program (LDP) - R&D. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about innovation, sustainability, and creating new technologies. You will be part of a program that prepares future leaders by immersing you in critical R&D tasks while learning how to lead teams and drive innovations in clean metal production. As a participant in the LDP, you will lead research and development projects focused on innovative refining technologies and contribute to the development of new processes for sustainable metal production. You will collaborate with engineering and operational teams to ensure that new technologies are seamlessly integrated into production operations, driving efficiency and sustainability. Your role will also involve driving the development of breakthrough technologies, researching, testing, and scaling new refining processes such as solvent extraction and molten salt electrolysis. You will conduct experiments and analyze results, using data to optimize refining processes and improve the overall production system. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will engage with day-to-day operations to ensure research outcomes are effectively applied to real-world production challenges. The program includes hands-on leadership training to equip you for senior roles within the organization, fostering your growth into a leadership position in a rapidly scaling company.
